Karlee Schrunk founded Atkinson Dance Academy in May 2017 in Atkinson, Nebraska.

 

Karlee's love of dance stems from her first ballet class at age 5 at Colorado Dance Center in Littleton, CO. She grew as a dancer and became a member of her high school dance teams (Junior Varsity Pom and Varsity Liberty Belle). Her passion continued throughout college where Karlee earned a minor in Ballet and Modern from the University of Wyoming.

After graduating from UW, Karlee returned to Colorado to work for HDR Engineering. She was approached by Heritage High School and coached the Junior Varsity Pom Squad 2013-2015.

Karlee married Nick Schrunk and moved to Atkinson in June 2015. They have two young sons, Kade and Kort, who both love music and kitchen dance parties.
